About 3 p.m. Thursday the Rev. Bill McGill looked out of his window and pondered that it was the 37th day of his 40-day fast to draw attention to violence in the community, and there had been no civilian-on-civilian homicides in Fort Wayne.A northwest Ohio church reported a break-in earlier this week.
Someone burglarized Columbia Church of Christ, 14832 Williams County Road 1.50, in the Edon area, taking sound equipment, musical instruments, vacuum cleaners and other items, according to a statement issued by the county sheriff’s department.
It said the thefts likely happened Tuesday or Wednesday.
Police did not have an estimate of the worth of the stolen items and said the case remains under investigation.
