For the police officer, the man’s body language was the giveaway. His combative stance and his abrupt hand movement hinted at the possibility of danger.Two men were shot early Friday at a strip club on the city's north side, Fort Wayne police said.
A report of gunshots about 4 a.m. sent officers to The Cabaret, 1525 Production Road, said officer John Chambers, a police spokesman.
Several people were at the club when police arrived. A witness reported he was trying to break up a fight in the club between two men when one of them pulled a gun and shots rang out, police said.
One man, shot once in the abdomen and once in the hip, went to a hospital without help from medics, and police found him there, said officer Jason Anthony, a police spokesman. The man, initially in serious condition, was in fair condition Friday night.
A second man shot in the thigh and a third man with unknown injuries both received medical treatment and were released, Anthony said.
Police did not disclose the victims' identities.
