1 killed, 2 wounded in bar shooting

ELKHART, Ind. – Police say a 25-year-old man was killed and two women wounded by gunfire at a northern Indiana bar.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department said the shooting at Gemini Bar and Grill near Elkhart was reported about 3 a.m. Friday.

Sheriff’s Lt. Brian Holloman told The Elkhart Truth (http://bit.ly/UOTzd4) that the two women were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Holloman said witnesses told officers the bar along U.S. 33 in a suburban area just south of the city was relatively quiet before the gunfire that also shattered windows of a car parked near the bar’s entrance.

No arrests were immediately made and the names of those shot weren’t immediately released.
