Lawrence Central 7, Snider 0

INDIANAPOLIS -- One quarter down in the 5A state title game, and Lawrence Central leads Snider 7-0.

The Panthers looked overmatched on LC's first possession -- a 49-yard touchdown pass from Drake Christen to Tyja Thompson ended it -- but the Panthers recovered a fumble to stall a second threat and moved the football with Je'Norie Smith and Brandon Phelps sharing snaps at quarterback. The Panthers seem to have adjusted to Lawrence's speed, which is considerable, and everywhere.
