Burglars steal from church

Several computers and a brand new sound system were stolen during a burglary at a church on the city’s south side, police said.

A break-in at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fort Wayne, 5310 Old Mill Road, was reported the morning of Nov. 15, said officer Jason Anthony, a police spokesman.

The break-in appeared to have happened the night before, with someone pushing in an air conditioner and climbing through a window to get inside, Anthony said.

The church office was ransacked, and the computers and sound system were taken along with some cash, he said.
