Road warriors

Not much going on at IPFW these days, but away from Fort Wayne -- whew!

The Mastodons are on the road big time, starting tonight.

The men's basketball team takes its 4-3 record to Annapolis, Md., to play Navy (3-4) tonight, and in the process, the Mastodons are looking for their third straight win.

The women's basketball team will wait until Thursday to play, when it visits Carbondale, Ill. for a 1 p.m. game against Southern Illinois (0-4). Although the women (2-3) lost at Indiana 64-47 recently, they outscored the Hoosiers in the second half, 27-26.

But the biggest road contest of the week comes Thursday at 8:30 p.m. when the women's volleyball team visits Ames, Iowa, for an NCAA first round match with Iowa State.

IPFW has a 25-6 record, and Iowa State is 20-7, which includes a 12-1 record at home.
