FORT WAYNE – Salamonie Lake will play host to its monthly Senior Monday Carry-In Luncheon at noon Monday.
The event, open to people 50 and older, will be at the Salamonie Interpretive Center in Lost Bridge West State Recreation Area in Andrews. Huntington County master gardeners will lead a Christmas gourd craft session after the meal.
Attendees should bring their own table service, a prepared dish to share and a $1 donation to help defray costs for the main dish.

Holiday craft events set for Salamonie
Preschool-age children and accompanying adults are invited to Salamonie Preschool on Dec. 12 for one of two holiday craft parties.
The parties are 10 to 11:30 a.m. or 12:30 to 2 p.m., at Salamonie Interpretive Center in Lost Bridge West State Recreation Area in Andrews.
Kids can make crafts that could be given as gifts and pine cone bird feeders for the Interpretive Center.
Adults are invited to bring snacks to share. The cost is $2 per child. Register by calling 260-468-2127.
Nominations sought for trails board
The Indiana DNR wants equestrians, snowmobilers and other recreational trail users to consider serving their state on the Trails Advisory Board.
The 15-member TAB advises DNR director Robert E. Carter Jr. on trails issues.
Nominations and letters of support indicating why a nominee best represents a particular trails-interest group will be accepted by the DNR Division of Outdoor Recreation until Jan. 7.
