Wayne Street closes at tracks in Auburn

The Indiana Department of Transportation announced Monday afternoon that Wayne Street in Auburn is closed between DeKalb County Road 50 and Auburn Drive.

It said CSX is rebuilding the railroad crossing on Wayne, which is also County Road 427.

The official detour uses County Road 11A, County Road 23 (Diehl Drive) and Auburn Drive, the announcement said.

The work is scheduled to be complete by 5 p.m. on Friday, weather permitting.
