Anthony Johnson scored 11 points. Fort Wayne native Rapheal Davis and Sandi Marcius scored seven points.
Purdue held Lamar to 30.4 percent shooting from the floor (17 of 56).
The Cardinals, coached by former Indiana player Pat Knight, fell to 1-7.
