    The IPFW men’s soccer team had a rousing start to the 2014 season, blowing by St. Joseph’s (Ind.) 6-0 on Frida. Six Mastodonsscored and four others had assists.

    Slow starts to matches are making this a long season already for the IPFW women's soccer team. Making its regular season home debut Friday in a non-conference match-up against Detroit (1-1-0), the Mastodons lost 2-0.
  • IPFW women win volleyball opener
    IPFW women’s volleyball won their fourth consecutive season opener 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-21) against Saint Francis (Pa.) at the Bronco Classic in Kalamazoo, Michigan on Friday.

Women basketball at Gates tonight

Fresh from its 78-65 victory at Southern Illinois last week, IPFW's women's team plays Valparaiso tonight at the Gates Center.

The Mastodons (3-3) got a school record-tying 43-point game from junior Amanda Hyde against Southern Illinois. With a 19.5 scoring average, she's the only one who averages in double figures.

Valparaiso (2-5) is led by Tabitha Gerardot's 12.3 average. Gerardot is a Canterbury graduate.
