Dash ... we tried it

The recipe reviewed here appears on Page 12 of today’s Dash, a monthly food magazine inserted in The Journal Gazette.

Ham Bites

Preparation: 15 minutes

Cook

time: 8 minutes

What we thought: There’s nothing complicated about this dish but that’s what makes it so wonderful. The biscuits, using help from a store mix, come together quickly and the addition of chives and cayenne make them taste homemade. The ham and honey mustard was a pleasing pairing that even the pickiest of holiday guests (and toddlers) seemed to enjoy this weekend.

Make ahead: My husband and I agreed the Ham Bites could easily become breakfast with the addition of scrambled eggs and cheese. I froze some extra biscuits so we can test the theory Christmas morning.
