Indiana leads by 19 at halftime

Indiana leads Central Connecticut State 53-34 at halftime Saturday at Assembly Hall.

But the Hoosiers lost reserve forward Austin Etherington to an undisclosed injury. He was injured under the visiting basket with 2:28 to go in the half and had to be taken away on a stretcher. IU players and coaches surrounded him before he left.

Cody Zeller has 13 points and Victor Oladipo has 11 for Indiana. Oladipo had two monster dunks in the half.

Kyle Vinales, the nation's leading scorer, has four points on 2 of 9 shooting for Central Connecticut State.

Indiana shot 62.9 percent from the floor in the half. The Blue Devils shot 34.3 percent.
