Work begins on US 30

Drivers on U.S. 30 can expect to see lane restrictions and slow-moving maintenance vehicles this week in Kosciusko and Whitley counties.

The Indiana Department of Transportation announced Monday that there will be intermittent lane restrictions starting today.

It said INDOT maintenance crews will be working in both directions between Indiana 13 and Indiana 5.

Where work is being done, the road will be restricted to one lane, controlled by arrowboards and/or flaggers, INDOT said. This is a continuously slow-moving operation with a 12-ft. width limit.

INDOT said the work should completed by end of the day on Tuesday.

The width limit is 12 feet.
