Sissy Spacek to keynote 'Tapestry'

Award-winning actress and author Sissy Spacek is to be keynote speaker at next spring's "Tapestry: A Day for You" at Memorial Coliseum, IPFW announced today.

Tickets for the April 26 event are $65 each or $700 for a reserved table of 10, the university said in a statement. Registration begins Feb. 22.

The tickets include breakfast, two breakout sessions, the noon luncheon, presentation of the Parkview/Tapestry Scholarships and Spacek's address.

Spacek was the lead character in the film "Carrie," and won the Academy Award for portraying Loretta Lynn in "Coal Miner's Daughter." Her memoir, "My Extraordinary Ordinary Life," was released in May.
