Man arrested for pulling down pants in court

GARY, Ind. (AP) — A Gary man was arrested after authorities say he pulled down his pants during a court hearing.

Nineteen-year-old Maurice Donelson was being held in the Gary city lockup on $500 bond Thursday following his arrest on misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement.

The Post-Tribune reports that Donelson was attending a hearing in Gary City Court on Wednesday when he stood up, raised his shirt and lowered his jeans to mid-thigh, exposing his underwear.

Authorities say Donelson argued and tried to return to his seat after police escorted him into the hallway and told him he would have to raise his pants around his waist due to the courtroom dress code. Donelson allegedly struggled with officers as they tried to arrest him.
