Chris Roy, a firefighter with the Verona (Miss.) Fire Department and formerly of Fort Wayne, graduated from the National Fire Protection Association 1001 Firefighter course at the Mississippi State Fire Academy in Jackson, Miss.

•The Tractor Supply Co. store in Fort Wayne was recognized by the Allen County 4-H as the regional, district and class champion for its efforts to sell paper clovers. The store raised $930.15 for Allen County 4-H clubs.

Giving back

Lincoln Financial Foundation awarded a $10,000 grant to FinancialHope Counseling and Education to support the Life or Debt program, which is provided at no cost to FinancialHope clients.

•The Community Outreach Committee of the Apartment Association of Fort Wayne – Northeast Indiana collected 2,115 hygiene items to be donated to the Restoration House for Men and the Charis House for Women and Children.

•Dentists Steven Ellinwood, Tom Blake, Todd Briscoe, Guy Fortier and Mainstay Solutions collected $2,140.34 during its Kids 4 Kids competition. The money will be donated to A Baby’s Closet in Fort Wayne and Sonrisas Siempre, a dental mission project abroad.
