      Especially after the way the Komets got it handed to them in a 6-3 loss Wednesday at Toledo, Ohio, their performance Friday in a 3-1 victory over the Kalamazoo Wings was impressive.

Pregame primer

The Komets are 3-3-1 against the Kalamazoo Wings, heading into their game today at Memorial Coliseum.

Wings coach Nick Bootland got tossed, and fined, for berating the referee in a 2-1 loss to Florida on Saturday night. I looked at the tape. He called him some choice words and kicked the puck on his way out.

Two Wings players, Eric Kattelus and Aaron Clarke, were fined for actions, too, in that game.

The Komets are going to play Kenny Reiter in net today, their fourth game in five days.

Matt Kennedy will likely be back in the lineup after missing 15 games with a leg injury.
