The Dish

  • Deli 620 preparing new home
Lindi Miller is, by nature, a happy person, but she’s just a little bit happier right now.
  • Area restaurants plan specials for Easter
Easter is late this year – April 20 – and still I feel like it’s sneaking up on me. I have nary an item for baskets and have yet to pin a ham recipe (or bunny cake) on my Pinterest board.
  • Duty’s space to become Scotty’s
After three years and two other possible locations, Scott Wise has inked a deal to bring Scotty’s Brewhouse to Fort Wayne. The restaurant will move into 6282 W. Jefferson Blvd.

Comfort Food Delivered to open second location

Tammi McKee, who owns Comfort Food Delivered, is opening a second location next month, in the Rousseau Centre.

Comfort Food Delivered has plans to open a second location in the cafeteria of the Rousseau Centre, formerly the City County Building, with a projected opening date of Jan. 7.

Comfort Food is a catering company that makes and delivers food to downtown businesses and surrounding companies for lunch and is based out of the Northeast Indiana Innovation Center on Stellhorn Road. The new location, which owner Tammi McKee is referring to as Comfort Food Café, is more of a cafeteria-style set-up, where customers can order food and eat in.

The café will also have delivery, though the menu will differ from that at Comfort Food Delivered. The standardized diner-style menu will change seasonally, McKee says, and feature daily specials. Both locations will deliver to their surrounding areas, though McKee foresees the first location specializing in catering.
