A Coldwater, Ohio, man has been charged with felonious assault in connection with a Sunday stabbing in Celina, the Mercer County sheriff said today.

Phillip William Hibner, 21, is being held in the Mercer County Detention Facility on $100,000 bond, Sheriff Jeff Grey said in a statement.

Grey said police received a call at 2:39 a.m. from a woman who said her ex-boyfriend was at the residence trying to get in.

The woman told police that the ex-boyfriend, identified as Hibner, entered the residence and got into an altercation with her current boyfriend.

During the altercation, Grey said, the woman's current boyfriend was cut with what was described as a box-cutting knife or tool.

The woman's current boyfriend was treated at a local hospital, Grey said. He said Hibner was found at his home and was taken into custody.
