Two Warsaw men have been charged in connection with a home burglary on the community's west side, the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department said tonight.

Brandon Charles Carpenter, 25, and Jason Wayne Rohrer, 29, are being held in the Kosciusko County Jail without bond, the sheriff's department said in a statement.

Acting on an anonymous tip, the statement said, sheriff's deputies and detectives responded to a possible burglary in progress in the Hartzler Drive area about 11:30 a.m. today.

It said as officers arrived, they were told a suspect vehicle had fled the area and might be headed east on Old Road 30 into Warsaw. Detectives located the vehicle near Center and Detroit streets, where the suspects were arrested, the statement said.

Carpenter is charged with burglary and possession of a controlled substance, and Rohrer with burglary, it said.

Warsaw police and the county prosecutor's office assisted in the investigation, the statement said.
