Bank heist suspect arrested

A 20-year-old man suspected of robbing a bank in northeast Fort Wayne was arrested Tuesday, police said.

DaJuan Cooper, a city resident, was charged with robbery this month in a Nov. 20 holdup at the Chase Bank branch at 6704 E. State Blvd.

The day of the robbery, police said a man entered the bank that morning and gave a note to a teller, demanding money. He left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and headed north toward an apartment complex, police said.

On Tuesday, Fort Wayne police found Cooper and took him to the Allen County Jail. Police said information received through Crime Stoppers helped detectives with the case.
