Shooting victim identified

A Fort Wayne man was identified as the victim of a shooting found in a Reed Street alley Wednesday night, the Allen County coroner's office said today.

Ramareo Debrad Booher, 19, was the 29th homicide victim for Fort Wayne and Allen County during 2012, the coroner's office said in a statement.

The shooting remains under investigation by city police, the coroner's office and the county prosecutor's office.

Police have said they were called at 8:47 p.m. Thursday about a person lying in an alley in the 3100 block of Reed Street, between Eckart Street and Drexel Avenue.

The man was unresponsive when he was found, and neighbors told police they didn't see anything or hear any gunshots, police have said.
