The board of directors for ITT Exelis has authorized a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company may repurchase up to $100 million of the company’s common stock from Dec. 11 through Dec. 31, 2015.

Zimmer Holdings Inc. announced that Gail K. Boudreaux, executive vice president of UnitedHealth Group and chief executive officer of UnitedHealthcare, has been appointed to its board of directors.

More than a dozen IT leaders from some of northeast Indiana’s largest and most well-respected companies participated in a weeklong “boot camp” hosted by Do it Best Corp. and aimed at improving operational processes and efficiency. The Business Analyst Boot Camp was organized and facilitated by ASPE, a leading national training and development firm based in Cary, N.C.

Regal Beloit Corp. has commenced a public offering of 2,750,000 shares of common stock. Regal Beloit will grant the underwriters in the offering an option to purchase up to 412,500 additional shares to cover any overallotments. Regal Beloit expects to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate and working capital purposes, including the potential funding of future acquisitions.

Park Lake Pediatrics has been honored with a Star Performer Award from MDwise, Indiana’s only nonprofit managed health care organization serving Hoosiers covered by the Hoosier Healthwise, Healthy Indiana Plan and Care Select health programs. The office received this recognition for going above and beyond to provide high levels of quality and service to patients.

Morrison Kattman Menze Inc. has completed the design for The Heritage of Fort Wayne, a new senior living and care resource in Fort Wayne, owned and operated by the United Methodist Memorial Home. The project is currently under construction and is anticipated to be completed by spring 2014.

Jubilee Community Health, a safety-net clinic in rural Paoli, announced successful results of a Personal Health Record pilot program for patients with diabetes who used a NoMoreClipboard PHR. The patients were trained to monitor their condition by providing blood sugar measurements on a daily basis and use an electronic health diary to tract their symptoms and diet.

First Federal Bank of the Midwest has relocated from 7437 Coldwater Road to 1595 W. Dupont Road, in the Northbrook Village shopping center, formerly occupied by ProFed Credit Union. The bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of First Defiance Financial Corp. with assets exceeding $2 billion.

Whitley County Economic Development Corp. received “Best in the Midwest” recognition for the EDC Annual Outlook meeting from the Mid-America Economic Development Council.
