Northrop senior Bryson Scott watched his good friend, Bishop Luers junior James Blackmon Jr., set the SAC tournament single-game scoring mark with 45 points in a 101-87 loss to Snider on Wednesday.
After scoring 33 points in an 88-67 win Thursday over those same Panthers, Scott talked about his friend's performance.
"It was crazy," Scott said about Blackmon's performance. "He was knocking three balls back. It was fun to watch.
"It inspires me a little bit, and I want to do the same thing. But I am just trying to play with my team, and I would rather have 20 points in a win than 40 points in a loss."
Scott is a Purdue signee, while Blackmon Jr. is committed to rival Indiana.
The two will play against each other Jan. 11 at Northrop.
