Scoreless so far

The Komets and Toledo Walleye are scoreless after one period at Memorial Coliseum.

The Walleye outshot Fort Wayne 13-5, so the real hero of the frame was Fort Wayne goaltender Kenny Reiter.

The shots weren't indicative of the time of possession, which seemed to be about even, but Fort Wayne couldn't create many quality chances when it got close to the Toledo net.
