Blaze heavily damages Lille Street home

A living-room fire heavily damaged a Lille Street home this morning, Fort Wayne firefighters said.

No one was at home at the time of the fire, and no one was injured, the Fort Wayne Fire Department said in a statement.

Firefighters responded to a house fire at 4512 Lille St. about 11:15 a.m., and found smoke and fire coming from the front of the home, the statement said.

It said crews found the fire had spread to an adjacent room and the attic.

The fire was controlled in about 10 minutes, and remains under investigation, the statement said.
