Band of snow in area

1-2 inches possible by early afternoon

A band of moderate snow is currently moving across northern Indiana, the National Weather Service says.

Visibility will be reduced to half a mile in some locations, the weather service said in a statement.

One to 2 inches of snow are possible by early afternoon in the band's area, which includes these counties:

  • Indiana -- Allen, DeKalb, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben and Whitley;
  • Ohio -- Defiance, Paulding and Williams.
Drivers are urged to use caution because some untreated roads may be slick in a few areas, the weather service said.
