Two area basketball players honored

Northrop’s Bryson Scott and West Noble’s Haley Richardson were named the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Players of the Week.

Scott, a 6-foot-2 guard, averaged 21.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.6 steals over five games as the Bruins won the SAC tournament and split games in the Hall of Fame Classic.

The 6-2 Richardson led West Noble to a 75-62 victory over Tippecanoe Valley in its only game. The Ball State recruit had 25 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 5.steals while hitting 11-of-19 shots.
