Verbatim: Warsaw man charged with sexual misconduct

A report received Friday morning from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department:

Kosciusko county detectives arrest a Warsaw man after allegedly sexually touching a 14 and 15 year after an extensive investigation.

Kosciusko county Sheriff's Department detectives have arrested a Warsaw man on two preliminary charges of sexual misconduct with a juvenile under the age of 15 after a two and month investigation.

Franklin "Frankie" Lewis Engle, 33, Warsaw, was taken into custody by K.C.S.D. Detectives Thursday afternoon after officers believe he committed illegal sexual acts to a 14 and a 15 year old during the spring of 2012.

Due to the manner of the crime, detectives are declining to divulge the exact details to protect the juvenile victims of the alleged incidents.

Engle is currently being held on a $20,000 bond at the Kosciusko County Jail.

The Kosciusko County Prosecutor's Office and sheriff's detectives stated that the investigation is still on going at the current time.

The Kosciusko County Prosecutor's Office advises that the defendant's charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
