Komets lose to Cincinnati

The Komets missed some golden opportunities to tie the game late and lost, 4-2, to the Cincinnati Cyclones at Memorial Coliseum on Friday.

Mike Embach scored the winning goal in the third period, after a pass from behind the net, and the Cyclones added an empty-net goal to seal it.

This was the first of three games in as many nights for the Komets, who take on the division-leading Cyclones on Saturday in Cincinnati.

The Komets lost Luca Caputi and Matt Firman to undisclosed injuries.

Scoring for Fort Wayne were Jean-Michel Rizk and Corey Elkins.
