Arts update

AT THE LIBRARY:

•Allen County Public Library, 900 Library Plaza, will offer “Art Out of the Box” for homeschoolers at 2 p.m. and “Totally Terrific Tuesdays: Button Making,” at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Also “Craft Café” will be offered from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and the Fort Wayne Ballet Youth Company will present selections from “The Firebird” at 7 p.m. Thursday.

•Aboite Branch, 5630 Coventry Lane, will have “Art for Homeschoolers” at 2 p.m. Thursdays and “Art for Homeschool Teens” at 10:30 a.m. Fridays.

•Pontiac Branch, 2215 S. Hanna St., will have “Sit and Stitch,” for anyone wanting to learn to knit, at 4:30 p.m. Thursdays.

•Woodburn Branch, 4701 Indiana 101 N., Woodburn, will have a “Yarn Lover’s Gathering” at 7 p.m. Thursday.

GUILD MEETING: The Appleseed Quilters Guild will hear Susan Hague provide information on “The Gathering,” an annual quilting show event, Tuesday at The Classic Café, 4832 Hillegas Road. Social time is at 6:30 p.m. followed by the meeting at 7 p.m.

S EEKING MEMBERS: The Summit City Singers welcomes new members. Rehearsals are from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Shawnee Middle School, 1000 E. Cook Road. For information, call 489-4505.
