  • Your chance to make D-League
    The D-League will hold its annual national tryouts June 15 in New York. The one-day event will see 200 hopefuls in full-court games in front of team executives, coaches and scouts.
  • Howard, Smith work at Development League camp
    Mad Ants guard Ron Howard and center Tommy Smith accepted invitations to the NBA Development League Elite Mini Camp, which started Monday and runs through Tuesday in Chicago.
  • Record year for D-League
    It wasn't only the Mad Ants that made 2012-13 their best season; the rest of the NBA Development League had a record-setting year, as well.

Ants lead at half

In search of their fourth straight win, the Mad Ants own a 54-47 halftime lead over Santa Cruz on Saturday at Memorial Coliseum.

The Ants (6-10) led by as many as 18 points early in the second quarter, 41-23, but Santa Cruz (9-3) began an aggressive campaign of driving to the basket, which helped the Warriors get back in.

Fort Wayne got careless with the basketball in the second quarter, committing nine turnovers. In their 102-86 win over Santa Cruz on Thursday, the Ants had 10 turnovers the entire game.

Darryl Partin leads the Ants with 12 points, and Sadiel Rojas has 10 off the bench.

Travis Leslie and Taylor Griffin have 13 each for Santa Cruz.
