Seton Hall leaders: Fuquan Edwin (17.7 ppg); Eugene Teague (8.4 rpg); Tom Maayan (4.1 apg)

Key matchup: The 6-foot-9, 290-pound Teague will need to try to keep 6-9, 246-pound Cooley in check. Cooley leads the Big East in rebounding and is second in the league in scoring.

The skinny: Irish forward Eric Katenda, whose enrollment was delayed in the summer of 2011 because of problems with his high school transcript and then didn’t enroll until the fall of 2011 after an accident cost him the vision in his left eye, was supposed to be cleared to play today. But coach Mike Brey said Thursday that Katenda will likely not play this semester so he can put in more work on and off the court. … Seton Hall started Big East play with a 73-72 win at DePaul on Wednesday.
