Notre Dame merchandise has been a popular item this season as the No. 1 Irish (12-0) get ready to play in Monday’s BCS championship game against No. 2 Alabama (12-1).

Notre Dame is the top-selling school on Fanatics.com with Alabama No. 2. The Tide was the top-selling program for the first half of the season, but the Irish took over the top spot in mid-October, according to the website.

Notre Dame also enjoyed the largest year-to-year sales increase among colleges, jumping up 223 percent, according to Fanatics.com. Northern Illinois had the second-largest increase at 197 percent, followed Kansas State’s 112 percent increase and Texas A&M’s 101 percent increase.
