IPFW leaders: Frank Gaines (18.8 ppg), Mario Hines (5.6 rpg), Pierre Bland (2.4 apg)

Nebraska Omaha leaders: Justin Simmons (13.4 ppg), Alex Welhouse (4.7 rpg), CJ Carter (2.3 apg)

Key matchup: Gaines is enduring a shooting slump over his last five games in which he has made 23 of 73 field goal attempts for 31.5 percent. But the 6-foot-4 senior has compensated by going to the free throw line. He scored 17 points against Navy, making 8 of 11 free throws.

The skinny: Nebraska Omaha posted its first Summit League win with a 77-65 victory over UMKC. It is coming into today’s game having lost all nine road games. The Mastodons’ win over Navy on Wednesday ended a two-game losing streak. Luis Jacobo led the team with 22 points.
