•3-6 p.m. Thursday, city Fire Station 19, 10116 Covington Road

In November, Mayor Tom Henry announced that the city would begin a condemnation process against Aqua’s water utility.

A public hearing on the measure is scheduled for the City Council meeting at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 22 at Citizens Square.

City officials contend they can provide better quality water at lower prices; Aqua officials contend they provide high-quality water at adequate pressures.
