  • Authorities: House fire set after dispute
    LEBANON, Ind. (AP) — Authorities say a man was critically injured in a central Indiana house fire that was intentionally set a couple hours after police had been called there for a domestic dispute.

4 dead in Michigan crashes

– Police in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula say three crashes on icy roads have claimed four lives, including a Wells County man.

The St. Joseph County sheriff’s department says a vehicle with seven people aboard crashed about 6:40 a.m. Wednesday in White Pigeon Township, 30 miles south of Kalamazoo.

The department says the driver was 30-year-old Kirk Miller of Keystone. The department said two of his passengers died but their names were not released.

Eaton County Sheriff Tom Reich told the Lansing State Journal that Donald Brownlee of Howell was killed when his SUV crashed on Interstate 69.

Livingston County sheriff’s Lt. J. Lynch says 47-year-old Michael Herrell of Flint was killed when he hit a tractor-trailer while exiting U.S. 23.
