No. 7 Cal women rally to beat USC in overtime

Gennifer Brandon had 23 points and a career-high 26 rebounds, and No. 7 California held USC without a basket in overtime to beat the Trojans 71-63 on Thursday night.

The Golden Bears rallied from six points down in the final 1:42 of regulation before outscoring the Trojans 9-1 in the extra period. Brandon scored all six points to tie it then added a key block and also scored on a putback in overtime.

Layshia Clarendon added 27 points and six rebounds for Cal (14-2, 4-1 Pac-12), which looked sluggish early while coming off an emotional win over No. 6 Stanford four days earlier.

Kate Oliver had 10 points and 10 rebounds for USC (7-9, 4-1) and Cassie Harberts added 15 points.
