Fatal crash snarls traffic at Crescent, Coliseum

FORT WAYNE – A crash shortly before 8 a.m. Thursday claimed the life of one person on the city’s northeast side, Fort Wayne police confirmed.

It happened shortly before 8 a.m. at Crescent Avenue and Coliseum, and the cleanup backed up morning commute traffic for more than an hour.

The victim was an adult male, according to Raquel Foster, a police spokeswoman.

No further information was immediately available.
