3-day self-defense session slated in Angola

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department will host a three-night self-defense class for women next month.

Sheriff’s department officers will teach the Rape Aggression Defense course, which includes a short lecture, two nights of practicing techniques and one night dedicated to a simulation.

The class will be at Hendry Park Elementary School in Angola from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 11 to 13. All women are welcome. They can also bring their daughters, ages 12 and older. The class requires a $20 deposit that will be returned on the third night.
