Key matchup: Cooley returned to form for Notre Dame in Saturday’s 69-66 victory over Rutgers as the 6-foot-9 forward scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Porter, a 6-8 forward, is Georgetown’s version of Cooley as he leads the Hoyas in points and rebounds.

The skinny: The Irish snapped a two-game losing streak with the win over Rutgers. … Georgetown had its two-game winning streak end with a 61-58 loss at South Florida on Saturday. … Notre Dame enters tonight’s game as the third best scoring team in the Big East, averaging 74.6 points.
