Poor-shooting Ants’ skid hits 3

The Mad Ants dropped their third consecutive game Monday, losing at Canton, Ohio, 78-69.

Fort Wayne (11-13) shot 31 percent (27 of 87) while scoring its fewest points of the season.

The Ants’ previous low was in a 97-81 loss to Canton on Dec. 18.

Anthony Richardson led the Mad Ants, who played without point guard and second-leading scorer Ron Howard, with 17 points. Howard remains sidelined with a knee injury.

Two of the NBA-assigned players returned to their respective teams.

Forward Miles Plumlee was recalled by the Indiana Pacers, and guard Doran Lamb was recalled by the Milwaukee Bucks.

Plumlee played 11 games with the Ants and averaged 12.8 points and 11.2 rebounds. Lamb averaged 7.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in two games with the Ants.
