  • Softball season ends
    Jessica Hall gave up only three hits to IPFW and the UCLA softball team defeated the Mastodons 8-0 on Saturday to end IPFW's season at the NCAA Regional in Louisville, Ky.
  • Mastodons to regionals
    IPFW senior Theresa McHugh and freshman Rachel Dincoff have earned spots at the NCAA East Region Preliminary Championships, which begins May 23 in Greensboro, N.C.
  • Softball players honored
    IPFW junior Ashleigh Bousquet and sophomore Larissa Franklin were named to the Summit League Softball Academic All-League team, as voted on by the schools’ faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.

Volleyball roles, and Pink Out

At the weekly IPFW volleyball luncheon Wednesday at the Northcrest Pizza Hut, men's volleyball coach Arnie Ball and players Anthony Randolph and Kevin Villela talked about how players are finding their roles two weeks into the season.

The Mastodons (2-2) split an East Coast trip last weekend, winning at Sacred Heart, then losing to New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark.

IPFW has one match this weekend. It plays host to Lourdes on Friday at 7 p.m., at the Gates Center.

Pink-out details

The university will hold a news conference Jan. 30 at 10:30 a.m. in

Kettler Hall, Room 154, where details of the sixth annual Pink Out will be

released. Featured speakers will include IPFW

chancellor Vicky Carwein, athletic director Tommy Bell and

executive director of the Vera Bradley Foundation, Catherine Hill.

The Pink Out, which encourages fans to wear pink during IPFW athletic events, helps raise awareness of breast cancer, and celebrates breast cancer survivors.
