Best-One Tire and Auto Care, which has dealers in Fort Wayne and northeast Indiana, donated $11,000 to the Vera Bradley Foundation
for Breast Cancer through its Caps 4 a Cause. Caps can still be bought at area dealers.

Hearth Senior Living and its Live More philosophy will be featured 7 a.m. Sunday on the InView Series hosted by Larry King on the Discovery Channel. The program will feature families and staff from the Hearth at Sycamore Village in Fort Wayne.
Associated Churches of Fort Wayne and Allen County, the Franciscan Center and Miss Virginias Mission House will host Stand Up for Hunger from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 10 at Trolley Steaks and Seafood, 2898 E. Dupont Road. The event will promote hunger awareness and raise money for hunger relief in Allen County. In addition to entrees, the event will include entertainment, wine tasting and a raffle. Tickets are $100 each and are available by calling 422-3528 or www.associatedchurches.org.
Awards/recognition
Bruce Ewing Landscaping received the Residential Landscape Maintenance award for a project in the Fort Wayne area from the Indiana Nursery and Landscape Association at the 2012 Green Excellence Award ceremony in Indianapolis. Also, Jim Saxton has been selected as the recipient of the Nursery and Landscape Achievement Award.

Jamie Scott of the Kosciusko County Soil and Water Conservation District was elected as secretary to the Indiana Association of Soil and Water Conservation District board.
