IU tops Michigan State

Victor Oladipo had 21 points, seven rebounds and six steals as Indiana defeated Michigan State 75-70 Sunday at Assembly Hall.

Christian Watford added 12 points for the No. 7 Hoosiers (18-2, 6-1 Big Ten).

Gary Harris scored 21 points for the No. 13 Spartans (17-4, 6-2). Adreian Payne added 18 points.

IU led 72-70 with 2 minutes to go. Indiana sophomore forward Cody Zeller drove the lane and made a layup with 1:38 remaining to make it 74-70.

Harris missed a three-pointer and Zeller grabbed the rebound for the Hoosiers with 1:10 to go.

Oladipo missed a layup and Payne grabbed the rebound for the Spartans. Following a timeout, Michigan State worked the ball to Payne, who was called for a charge with 14.3 seconds remaining.

Jordan Hulls made one of two free throws to wrap up the victory.
