The Allen County Sheriff's Department has named a suspect in the Jan. 11 robbery at a Walgreen's store north of Fort Wayne in which a gun-wielding woman took a customer's purse.

On Thursday, the department released a photo of Traci L. Dennison, who also goes by the last name of Copeland, after two warrants were issued for her arrest in connection with the case -- one alleging robbery and the other alleging attempted robbery.

The robber, armed with a handgun, went into the Walgreens, near Tonkel Road and Indiana 1, about 8:30 p.m. Jan. 11, and demanded money from a cashier, the Allen County Sheriff's Department said.

After the cashier was unable to open the register, the robber pointed the gun at a customer behind her and demanded her purse. The victim handed over the purse, which held cash and credit cards, and the robber fled the store, the department said.

Shortly afterward, the sheriff's department distributed a photo from a security camera of the suspect. On Thursday, the department issued a statement thanking everyone involved in helping identify Dennison as the suspect.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact the sheriff's department's Warrants Division at 449-7636 or Allen County Dispatch at 449-7661.

Dennison is from Fort Wayne and previously lived on the north side, the sheriff's department said.
