Avilla man thrown from snowmobile

An Avilla man was hurt in a snowmobile wreck over the weekend in DeKalb County, according to Indiana conservation officers.

About 3:20 p.m. Sunday, Bruce A. Martin was riding a 1991 Polaris Indy Trail 500 on private property near County Road 39, east of Ashley.

Martin, 45, went over uneven ground and was thrown from the snowmobile. He was treated at DeKalb Memorial Hospital in Auburn for rib injuries, conservation officers said.
