The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey won for virtual cinematography in a live-action feature.
The films are nominated in the Academy Awards’ visual effects category alongside Prometheus and Snow White and the Huntsman.
Other top film awards went to The Impossible for supporting visual effects and Brave for animation.
