A report received Friday morning from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department:

Kosciusko County officers have arrested two individuals on theft charges after allegedly stealing boats in the Papakeechie Lake area.

Kosciusko County Sheriff's Deputies, along with Indiana State Police, apprehended a female Wednesday for her alleged involvement in a recent theft of boats and various power tools.

Officers from both agencies located Lindsay Raye Housman, 25, Cromwell, at approximately 3:30 p.m. Wednesday waking near Raggedy Ann Lane in the Enchanted Hills housing addition.

Investigators had acquired information implicating Housman's involvement in the theft of at least two Aluminum flat-bottom boats.

Officers also obtained information alleging the involvement of Charles (Chuck) E. Norris, 29, Cromwell, in the same thefts that apparently occurred during the fall of 2012.

Officers have obtained an arrest warrant for Norris on felony burglary and two counts of felony theft charges.

Norris is still currently incarcerated in the Whitley County Jail on other unrelated charges which consist of felony escape, aggravated battery, and intimidation with a deadly weapon and violation of his probation.

Norris was originally arrest on November 24th, 2012 in Kosciusko County by Indiana Conservation Officers for charges consisting of resisting law enforcement, escape from lawful detention, possession of cocaine, failure to procure a residential hunting license, and a convicted felon in possession of a handgun.

Deputies arrested Housman Wednesday afternoon on preliminary charges of felony theft as well as burglary. She is currently being held on a $5,000 bond in the Kosciusko county jail.

The Kosciusko County Prosecutor's Office advises that the defendant's charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
