Is Bailey Farley all the way back? She thinks so.
The Canterbury senior missed a month of the season with a leg injury and has been back on the court for the last two weeks.
After scoring 22 points in a 100-50 sectional semifinal win Friday against Lakewood Park, Farley said she is finding her groove.
"I can't even explain how frustrating it was to sit out a month my senior year," Farley said. "It was like an injury that came out of nowhere, but I worked through it. I really feel like I have gotten back into sync.
"Like any basketball player will tell you, if you take a long time, even taking two days off, and your shot is off. I am back in a groove now. My coaches kept telling me to take as much time off as you need in the regular season because this is when we need you."
With the rest of the Cavaliers sitting on the bench for the final 1½ quarters, Farley returned to the game in the fourth as Canterbury coach Wayne Kreiger wanted her to get some more playing time.
The Loyola-Chicago recruit made 8 of 16 from the field and 3 of 4 from the free-throw line and had three assists and four rebounds.
